Field Visit for Society and Technology

During our one-day field trip to Bhardev, Lalitpur as part of the Society and Technology course, we had the opportunity to delve into the social aspects of the community. Our engaging day began with community mapping, during which we meticulously charted the various institutions, amenities, and landmarks that shape the fabric of this vibrant society. This exercise allowed us to gain a comprehensive understanding of the community's layout, infrastructure, and the interconnections between different social elements. 

To further enrich our knowledge, we conducted insightful interviews with the warm and welcoming homestay owner. Through these conversations, we gained valuable insights into the intricate dynamics of the community, discovering its history, culture, and the challenges faced by its residents. The homestay owners graciously shared their personal stories and experiences, shedding light on the social interactions, traditions, and values that define this close-knit society. 

Overall, this one-day field trip to Bhardev, Lalitpur provided an invaluable opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Through community mapping and engaging interviews, we not only deepened our understanding of the social aspects of society but also developed a genuine appreciation for the rich tapestry of human interactions that underpin community life.
